Poetic love enthralls Capital

It was a day dedicated to all poetry lovers and enthusiasts at the 29th Akhil Bharatiya Kavi Sammelan. Eminent poets got lauded and applauded as they mesmerised everyone present in the audience with their poetic expressions. The event was organised by Indian Oil at Siri Fort Auditorium in the Capital.

Inaugurated by the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Lakshmi Panabaka, the poetic Kavi Sammelan was attended by RS Butola, Chairman, Dr RK Malhotra, Director (R&D), Rajkumar Ghosh, Director (Refineries), A M K Sinha, Director (P & BD) and PK Goyal, Director (Finance).

The celebrations were kicked off by Lakshmi Panabaka who garlanding the Goddess Saraswati. This was followed by a warm address by Butola. The evening then carried on with a plethora of emotions and feelings ranging from joy and happiness to angst and hope through poems by various poets.

The show was attended by poets such as Dr Praveen Shukla, Dr Hariom Pawar, Rahat Indori, Dr Buddhinath Mishra, Dr Lakshi Shankar Vajpayee, Mumtaz Nazeem, Vineet Chauhan, Ashkaran Atal, Dr Anil Choubey, Padmashree Dr Surendra Dubey and Dr Anu Sapan who narrated strings of poetry tied up with words and insights.
