PM to be chief guest at Haryana golden jublee event: CM Khattar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the celebration ceremony to mark Golden Jubilee year of the inception of Haryana on November 1 of this year. PM Modi would be the chief guest at the state-level function.

While interacting with media, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar disclosed it after meeting with Modi in the national capital. “The Prime Minister has accepted Haryana’s invitation and given assurance to participate in the Golden Jubilee function,” he added.

PM Modi also congratulated the people of Haryana for holding the International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav in Kurukshetra from December 6 to 10, 2016, the Chief Minister said.

Various other issues related to Haryana were also discussed at the meeting with the Prime Minister, including HMT Pinjore, developing Hisar airport as international or Integrated Aviation Hub and setting up of Mass Rapid Transit System from Gurgaon to Bawal at a cost of Rs 20,000 core under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.

The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the various development programs of the state, including WIN City to be developed in Kharkhoda by Wanda Group of China, kerosene-free Haryana by 2017, and savings through welfare policies with the use of IT, and Teachers Transfer Policy.
