Picking those arty brains

If art and culture are your kind of thing, then head to this three-day art fest. Organised by Management of Art and Treasures of India (MATI), the festival, Continuing Journeys, has a series of programmes for the art enthusiast.
 
First up is a session on short film and video curation which will involve works of the likes of Prabir Gupta, Vibha Galhotra, Pratul Dash, Subba Ghosh, Deepak Tandon, Dhaneshwar Shah, Manjunath Kamath,  Mithu Sen, Babu Eshwar Prasad, Aditi Chitre, Birendra Pani, Manmeet Devgun and Pankaj Rishi Kumar.

This will be followed by screening of documentaries of Himmat Shah, Kavita Jaiswal, Arpana Caur and two documentaries on folk and tribal art byArt & Deal Production. There is also going to be a seminar on ‘Culture Heritage and Museums’ which will be dedicated to understanding the current directions in our understanding of museums, heritage and culture.

Professor Nanda Kumar of the IGNCA and Prof. AK Das from the National Museum are some of the participants. The last day will have a Young Artists Discussion Forum, a dialogue and a musical performance by the Niyazi Brothers.
