Opened in 1959, the National Zoological Park was initially called the Delhi Zoo until 1982, when it was rebranded to put forward the idea of it being the nation’s zoo. Since its opening, the zoo has enthralled generations of visitors, as weekend outing location and an opportunity to interact with and understand our neighbors from the wild. Even with generation changes, the location has continued to reinvent itself in an age when wildlife experiences are as far as your nearest screen.
