Say Cheese!

Edam, a picturesque small town in Holland, is where the world famous Edam cheese comes from. The name Edam originates from a dam on the little river E or IJe where the first settlement was located and which was therefore called E-dam. The dam was built in the 13th Century and the town has flourished since then.
