Pharrell launches his Girl fragrance

Fashion designer Rei Kawakubo is said to have personally handpicked the star to add to the label’s range of scents. According to Adrian Joffe, CEO, Comme Des Garcons Parfums SA, Williams was particular about the fragrance he wanted. ‘(Pharrell) knew exactly what he wanted the perfume to smell like right from the beginning,’ he said. Williams, 40, is excited about the project.
‘I am so honoured to be working with Comme des Garçons and cherish the education that I’ve experienced in this collaboration,’ he said. The music artist, who recently performed at the 86th Academy Awards, already has a number of successful fashion business ventures under his belt.
