PCR van-truck collision leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

A PCR van which had rushed to an accident site to save the injured was rammed by an over-speeding truck which left a passer-by dead and a PCR staff member injured on Sunday morning. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Rajbir while the injured head constable has been identified as Virender. Meanwhile, the errant driver, Santosh was arrested on the spot.

The incident took place around 9 am on Sunday in the New Usmanpur area. After the collision, locals caught hold of the truck driver and handed him over to the police.
