Actor Robert Pattinson wants to play Ian Fleming’s iconic spy James Bond, but thinks it will take him two more decades to fit into the role.
‘Yeah, I would definitely like to go for Bond, but in more like 20 years. There would be nothing worse than, like, ‘Let’s get a fresh-faced Bond!’ That would be the worst idea in the world. It would be ridiculous to reinvent it as some young posh kid,’ thesun.co.uk quoted Pattinson as saying.
‘After Daniel Craig, you have to have some baggage. I would have to be tortured in the first few scenes. I would have to do the first film with one arm or something,’ he said.
At 26, Pattinson says, he is becoming more health conscious. ‘I think 26 is the turning point. I have to make up for 10 years of living like a degenerate and having spent every bit of free time since 15 in a pub. I have suddenly become conscious of being unhealthy,’ he also confesses.
