Patrick Harris, Burtka are married

The couple, parents to twins Gideon and Harper, tied the knot Saturday. How I Met Your Mother producer and director Pam Fryman officiated over the ceremony, reports eonline.com.
‘We happily confirm that Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were married in Italy in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their close friends and family,’ a rep for Harris said.
According to reports, Elton John performed at the reception. The couple announced their engagement via Twitter in June 2011 after passage of the Marriage Equality Act in New York.
Neil Patrick Harris then revealed that they actually got engaged five years earlier, but decided to keep the news a secret.
The couple have two children, twins Gideon and Harper, who were born in 2010. In 2012, Burtka said they were a very ‘co-dependent’ couple. ‘He’s my lifeline, in an amazing way. Without him, I can’t breathe,’ Burtka said.
‘The biggest thing is that he makes me laugh.’, he added.
