Parties submit list of ‘star’ campaigners

With the campaigning process for the upcoming elections moving into top gear, all political parties submitted a list of their star campaigners to the Delhi Election Office, Delhi chief electoral officer Vijay Dev said.
Congress’ list of 40 campaigners includes prime minister Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, party president Sonia Gandhi, vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
The BJP’s list, on the other hand, includes party’s national president Rajnath Singh, senior leader LK Advani, prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj.
Senior leader Murali Manohar Josh, film stars Shatrughan Snha, Vinod Khanna, Hema Malini and Kirron Kher will also campaign for the BJP.
Rahul has already addressed two election rallies in the national capital. According to sources, Sonia will address a rally in east Delhi on 24 November, while Manmohan Singh will address a rally on 27 November.
BJP too is planning a series of rallies in the city. Modi has agreed to address six more rallies in Delhi.
