As many as 10 people were injured in a scuffle between the security guard of a cash replenishment van and a lawyer over parking space at South-East Delhi’s Greater Kailash on Friday afternoon.
The incident was reported at around 12.30 pm when a cash replenishment van of the ATM management company CMS was found parked outside the gate of a lawyer identified as Surendra Verma. While the custodians of the van went inside an Axis Bank ATM kiosk, the security guard, identified as Satya Prakash (35) and driver, identified as Ram Kishan (50), were guarding the vehicle.
The lawyer objected to the van being parked right outside his gate and entered in to a heated argument with Satya Prakash, said a senior police official. In no time, it turned into a violent fist-fight and Satya Prakash opened two to three rounds of fire, which however, did not hit anyone. Around five people involved in the fight were hit by bullet splinters. Apart from Satya Prakash, Lal Kishan and Surendra Verma, the other people who sustained injuries were Rakesh, Mukesh, Ashok, Sanjay, Radhey Shyam and Lal Babu. One of the injured persons could not be identified. All of them were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
