Parasaran is new Solicitor General

Mohan Parasaran, working as the Additional Solicitor General for the last nine years, has been appointed as the new Solicitor General of India. Sources said formal announcement is likely to be issued next week. Earlier, Rohinton Nariman had resigned as the Solicitor General of India. He was the second Solicitior General to resign after Gopal Subramanium. The appointment is for a period of three years, effective from the date on which the notification is issued.
