“It’s not that Pappu Yadav has broken the law for the first time, there are several incidents of him engaging in anti-social activities. He is a serial offender and BJP feels pride in cosying up to him,” alleged JD (U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, adding, “The ‘act’ of Yadav has tarnished the image of Bihar that has been painstakingly built by Nitish Kumar over the last ten years.”
“The BJP has nothing to do with law and order issue. They are inducting leaders who have been expelled from for anti-party activities or some other issues. What kind of governance will BJP promise with leaders like Pappu Yadav in their camp,” asked the JD(U) leader.
The leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly and senior BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav refused to comment on the issue citing pressing engagements.
Notably, the case of Pappu Yadav relates to alleged misbehaviour with an <g data-gr-id="28">airhostess</g> on a Jet Airways flight and threatening to hit the air-hostess with slippers, which forced the pilot to call for security.
The air-hostess complained to the airline management that Yadav “unfastened his seat belt, manhandled her and pushed her aside to get out of the aircraft” on a flight from Patna to Delhi on Tuesday afternoon.
The pilot, while landing, called the Air Traffic Control (ATC) requesting security to handle a “disruptive passenger.” According to airline sources, Yadav had been difficult from the beginning; he didn’t follow instructions to switch off his mobile, wear his seat belt or keep his laptop bag in the overhead chamber.
