'Pak rejected India's request to jointly quiz Azhar'

A Pakistani media report on Monday claimed that Pakistan has turned down India's proposal to jointly interrogate Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar and other suspects of the Pathankot terror attack. Azhar is in "protective custody" in Pakistan after the Pathankot attack earlier this month, The Nation reported. Several other suspects have also been reportedly arrested and the authorities concerned have closed down a number of JeM-run madarssas in different cities. Azhar has been quizzed by Pakistani investigators, officials were quoted as saying by the daily. JeM chief's brother Mufti Abdul Rehman Rauf has also been detained, the report said. India wanted to send its investigators to quiz Azhar and his brother but Pakistan "politely refused", the daily said.
