Pak army chief meets top commanders, discusses security

Pakistan Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif on Tuesday discussed internal and external security situation during a meeting with his top commanders on the eve of the first anniversary of the country’s deadliest terror attack on a school in Peshawar.
The meeting, held at army’s headquarters in Rawalpindi, was attended by all Corps Commanders and principal staff officers. During the meeting, internal and external security situation of the country was discussed, the army said in a statement. “Participants of the conference also took holistic view of the emerging geo strategic environment and its relevance to security of Pakistan,” it said. While recounting successes of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, participants of the conference also expressed their solidarity with bereaved families and paid tributes to those killed in the Taliban attack on the army-run school in Peshawar.
