Over 110 FIRs lodged

As many as 111 FIRs have so far been registered against different political parties for violating the model code of conduct in the run up to Delhi Assembly elections. According to the office of Delhi Chief Electoral Officer, out of 111 FIRs, 48 have been lodged against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) while 22 FIRs were registered against the BJP for violating the model code.
“26 FIRs and eight FIRs were lodged against the Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party respectively,” CEO’s office said in a statement. It said that a sum of Rs 2.5 lakh was seized by different authorities.
