The family house of literary wit, playwright and gay icon, Oscar Wilde, where he wrote most of his famous plays, is up for sale for a whopping 1.29 million pounds.
Wilde moved to the tall, red brick house in Tite Street, Chelsea during 1884 with his new wife, Constance, when the street was distinctly bohemian, full of painters and writers. On Friday the street is among the most expensive addresses in the UK, The Telegraph reported. Wilde sharpened his wit in a buttercup-yellow room on the ground floor.
