Operation Milap: Police reunite 35 children with their parents

With four more children being reunited with their parents, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has achieved a figure of 35 through its Operation Milap within three weeks of its launch, police claimed on Saturday.

In the recently held raids, the police first came across a 12-year-old boy at a shelter named Apna Ghar at north-east Delhi’s Mansarovar Park area. “When the boy was questioned after being taken into confidence, he disclosed that he belongs to Roorkee in Uttarakhand. He ran away from home around a month ago after a scuffle with his father,” said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime).

In the same shelter, the police came across another boy of the same age. He was brought to the shelter home when some volunteers found him loitering around nar the New Delhi Railway station area. The 12-year-old boy told the police that he belongs to a village at Sitamarhi district in Bihar and had run away from home because he was very disturbed by the frequent fights among his family members.

In another shelter home under the Salam Balak Trust, the police came across two brothers aged 14 years and 12 years.
