Only one candidate files nomination paper

One candidate filed his nomination paper Tuesday for the 10 April Lok Sabha (the lower house of Indian Parliament) polls in Delhi.
Delhi Election Commission said it received only one application on Tuesday from Atulya Bharat Party from New Delhi constituency. ‘Atulya Bharat Party candidate Swadesh Ohri filed his nomination from New Delhi constituency. So far nine nominations have been received from four constituencies out of seven,’ said an election official.
The filing of nominations will continue till 22 March. After scrutiny on 24 March, candidates can withdraw their nominations till 26 March. Out of seven constituencies in Delhi, six are general seats and one is reserved for scheduled caste. The parliamentary constituencies are Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, and North West Delhi (reserved).
