ONGC Videsh inks PSC for 2 onland blocks in Myanmar

Production sharing contracts (PSCs) for onland exploration blocks B-2 and EP-3 were signed in Myanmar on 8 August, the company said in a statement here.
OVL had bid and won two onland blocks in Myanmar’s bidding round last year. It already has presence in Myanmar with stake in A-1 and A-3 offshore gas blocks and Shwe Gas pipeline. The production of firstGas from this project started in July, 2013.
ONGC Videsh is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), the national oil company of India, and is India’s largest international oil and gas E&P company. At present, ONGC Videsh has participation in 35 projects in 16 countries including Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil,Colombia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Libya, Mozambique, Myanmar, Russia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria,Venezuela and Vietnam.
