ONGC hold Prayag 1-1

‘Home’ away from Home proved sweet for newly promoted ONGC as they garnered their first point in the I-League on Friday. Playing at the Ambedkar Stadium ONGC held star-studded Prayag United 1-1 as I-League’s third-round kicked-off in Delhi.

Courtesy the result, ONGC moved to one point from three matches while Prayag moved to 4 points from three matches.

Eric Brown’s curling free-kick in the 36th minute put ONGC ahead in the first half. Brown’s free-kick sailed over the Prayag wall; perfectly directed to beat a diving Subrata Pal to his left.

However, Ranti Martins restored parity for Prayag in the 88th minute when he headed in substitute Lester Fernandes’ cross.
