ONGC hires from Aligarh Muslim University

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) visited the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University to recruit students of Mechanical Engineering (B Tech Final) and selected two students with a package upto Rs 10.02 lakhs pa.

ONGC is a Fortune 500 company and is one of the largest oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in Asia.

The recruitment team comprised of the Chief General Manager (Retired) and Executive Director (Retired) among others. In a short conversation with the Principal, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Prof Ekram Hussain and the Training and Placement Officer, Prof Tabassum Naqvi, the recruitment team expressed satisfaction on the overall qualification and skill of the interviewed students of the college and assured to recruit more in near future.

The team members praised the campus location, teachers and students of the University.

With the present recruitment, the number of placements at Engineering College has reached 195 while results from two other companies are still awaited. It may be noted that the highest package offered to any AMU student till so far in campus placement is approximately Rs 12 lakhs pa.

Earlier this year, international companies such as IFFCO, Sharjah and Windmoller & Holscher, Germany visited the campus. Furthermore, offers from Al Manwari International LLC, Muscat, Oman and South Korean University (Inha University) are under process.
