One dies in building collapse

A man died and around six others, including a girl, were injured when an old building came down during repair work in Loni area of Ghaziabad on Friday morning. According to police, a two-floor building was being renovated in Amit Vihar Colony when it fell down, even as the labourers were still working on the site. In the accident, owner of the house, Rajkumar, 40, received injuries on his head. He was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital [GTB] but was declared dead on arrival. His two sons, Sonu, 12, Maonu, 6 and niece Savita, 15, received serious injuries and are admitted in GTB hospital, while two labourers, Ashok and Jiya Lal, were discharged after first aid.
