One dead, six hurt in mishaps

In two separate accidents in the capital, a man in his early 20s died while six others received critical injures. One incident took place in Ghazipur while the other one near Anand Vihar in east Delhi.
In the first incident, one Sushil Kumar Gupta lost his life when his motorcycle rammed into a parked tanker on the main road of Ghazipur. The accident took place on Sunday when, the deceased, along with his brother were going towards Ghazipur.
Eye-witnesses said Gupta was talking on the phone, failed to notice the parked tanker on the roadside and rammed into it. Gupta died on the spot while his brother received severe injuries.
In the second incident that took place near Anand Vihar flyover, two cars collided with each other. It was a head-on collision. ‘Five people were critically injured in the accident and they all were rushed to a nearby hospital,’ said a police official.
