Ola says no to customer’s request for Hindu cabbie

Taking religious preferences to another level, Seelam Veerapa Naidu of Hyderabad, tweeted to Ola Cabs on April 6 and asked them to provide the facility to choose a driver of a particular faith.
Naidu wrote, “@Olacabs Being a Hindu i usually prefer Driver of Hindu Faith Only , Particularly in Hyderabad.. pls Give us a chance to Choose a Driver.” However, the cab service, instead of giving replied saying, “@SVeerapaNaidu Sorry, we do not discriminate against our drivers on the basis of their religion.”
However, Naidu replied to Ola Cabs saying, “@Olacabs Why Shld we see it as Discrimination instead of Customer Preference.” Later, after he was criticised on Twitter by various users, he apologised on twitter saying, “@Olacabs My intention is not to hurt any one .”
