Ola driver arrested for misbehaving with judge

An Ola cab driver was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with the Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) of the Tis Hazari Court on Thursday. According to senior police officers of the North district, Sandeep, the cab driver has been booked under charges of molestation.
According to police, the incident took place in Roop Nagar area on May 28 when the woman, an Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) with the Tis Hazari court booked the Ola cab from a market place she had gone to.
According to a senior police officer: “The woman had booked the Ola cab. Since she was in the market, the driver had to wait for two minutes. When the Judge came, he allegedly started shouting at her and apparently threw her bag and allegedly abused her as well.”
Based on the complaint by the ASJ, police started the investigation. Police further said that they arrested Sandeep from Gurgaon after search operations were carried out. Since the driver’s phone was switched off, they located him based on the GPS of the taxi,and arrested him.
“A case has been registered under Sections 354 A (making sexually coloured remarks), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman ) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the Indian Penal Code at the Roop Nagar police station,” said Madhur Verma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North).
