Official dengue deaths discount ground realities

Dengue cases in the city are on rise. However official figures released by Dengue Control Centre did not acknowledge any dengue deaths in the city owing to the lack of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test, which provides confirmation of the disease. As per the report by the central control room for dengue, approximately 206 dengue cases have been reported in the city till 14 September. The report shows the disease in spreading in other areas also. As per the report North DMC in still on top in terms of dengue cases with 94 dengue patients, but cases are also rising in South DMC area as it recorded 76 cases.
