Observers to keep a tab on nursery admission

Directorate of Education (DoE) of Delhi has instructed all the head of schools of unaided recognised schools of Delhi that there will be observers, appointed by the District Admission Monitoring Committee (DAMC) to oversee the process of nursery admissions, including ‘draw of lots’ for admission at the entry level for the year 2013-14.

The concerned deputy director (Education) would nominate an officer not below the rank of vice-principal, who will work as an observer, during the process of admission and the the entire proceeding of draw of lots would be video-graphed and CD/DVD would be submitted to DoE along with the list of successful candidates on the same day or latest by next day of the draw.

Sources from the Directorate of Education informed that it would be the sole responsibility of the head of the school of unaided recognised schools to categorise applications received for each entry level class strictly as per the distance criteria and strictly follow instructions issued by DoE, and it shall be the duty of the observer that to ensure no subdivision of of these categories or clubbing of these cayegories has been done by school.
