Obama picks Klain, Democrat operative as ‘Ebola czar’

Klain’s controversial role in the 2000 Florida presidential election recount vote was portrayed in the 2008 film ‘Recount’ by actor Kevin Spacey.
President Obama indicated Thursday he might be open to appointing someone to coordinate the federal response to the Ebola outbreak.
‘It may make sense for us to have one person … so that after this initial surge of activity, we can have a more regular process just to make sure that we’re crossing all the T’s and dotting all the I’s going forward,’ Obama said.
A White House official said Klain will report directly to the president’s homeland security adviser, Lisa Monaco, and to National Security Adviser Susan Rice.
