NTPC Talcher marks safety day

NTPC's Talcher Super Thermal Power Station celebrated National Safety Day (NSD) with great enthusiasm. GM (Maintenance) U K Dasgupta was the chief guest on the occasion and unfurled the safety flag.
The safety oath was administered by the GM (maintenance) in Odiya, GM (operations) in Hindi and AGM (Mechanical M Maintenance) in English to employees and associates.
Two minutes' silence was observed in memory of those who had died during construction & erection and operation & maintenance activities of the station.
Safety banners, posters and slogans were displayed at various strategic locations. Surakhya Jyoti Awards were given to the three best agencies, ie Precision Engineering (agency of Boiler & Maintenance Dept), Spark India (agency of Turbine & Maintenance) & Ashok Kumar Engineering (agency of Ash Handling Dept).
