Hooda, who took keen interest in the Panjab University students polls and is now campaigning for NSUI for the Delhi University Students Union elections slated on September 12, said the success of NSUI is a result of the growing acceptance of Congress thought among the youth of the country.
The Rohtak MP, who is also the Congress’ chief whip in Lok Sabha, said the polls will have its effect in Haryana too and exuded confidence that the Congress will form the next government in the state, the third one in a row.
After sweeping the PU Students Council polls, the newly-elected student leaders, including two from Haryana, on Saturday met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi in the presence of Hooda and sought their blessings.
