On Monday evening, the family and the peer group of the deceased, identified as Anmol, an American citizen who had been residing in New York with his parents and a younger brother, carried out a candle-light march near Kalkaji police station.
On past Friday night, Sarna was found lying in a pool of blood near South Park Apartment in Kalkaji area. He had reportedly gone to attend a farewell party for his childhood friend Praneel, who was scheduled to go to London the next day. In January, Sarna had come to stay in the city, since his grandmother had recently shifted to Faridabad.
According to reports, Sarna died from excessive bleeding from the head. A deep wound had been found on his head, but police officials have so far failed to identify the object which was used to hit him. Apart from the injury on his head, several injury marks were found on other parts of his body A senior police official close to the investigation said, ‘The autopsy report that will clear the reason behind his mysterious death is still awaited.’
