NRI arrested for stalking woman at IGI airport

Delhi police arrested a 43-year-old NRI for stalking a 35-year-old woman at terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Monday. According to the police the woman alleged the accused was stalking her when she was waiting for her turn in a ticket counter.
According to the police, the accused Puneet Ahuwalia is a businessman and lives in United States of America. Police said that they received a complaint from woman around 5.15 am this morning that a man was stalking a woman at terminal number 3 of IGIA.
‘Police have arrested Aahuwalia for stalking woman. Accused had come to India one year ago and on Monday morning, he was returning to USA. The woman, who was going to Dubai, told police that he stalked her while she was in a queue to reschedule her flight outside ticket counter as she missed her first flight,’ said a senior police officer.
The police have registered a case under Section 354 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The victim lived at Arera Colony and was pursuing a hotel management course from the Institute of Hotel Management.
Earlier on November 2013, a senior official of the Chennai-based automobile manufacturing company Ashok Leyland was arrested on charge of molesting a city girl in a Delhi bound Jet Airways flight on Monday morning.
