In yet another jolt to real estate giant Supertech, a retired officer of Indian Air Force has accused it of forgery. The complainant, Hari Gobinda Singh, has alleged that Supertech refused him possession of the property even after he made the payment.
According to Singh, he had booked a commercial property at Pentagon Mall in Haridwar in 2009. At the time of booking, the developer (Supertech) promised to hand over the possession in 16 months, in addition to the assured cash return till the property is leased out. Singh allegedly paid Rs 7.04 lakh to the developer at the time of booking.
Later, when the buyer approached the builder for possession of the property, he was told that no agreement of assured return was signed with him.
After failing to get ownership of the property, Singh produced necessary documents and lodged a complaint with the concerned authorities. As the matter became public, the developer slapped additional charges on the complainant citing delay in making the payment.
‘They have not handed over the property to me yet. Now, they are demanding additional money to give the ownership’ complained Singh, who has been awarded by government for his services.
He has written a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee regarding the issue. Meanwhile, the officials at Supertech’s office in Noida refused comment on the matter.
