Now, corporate honcho to head DTTDC

Delhi Government is planning to appoint a corporate honcho as the chairman of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) to boost the sector in the national capital.
The post, which used to be occupied by political leaders in the past, would now have a corporate leader with <g data-gr-id="23">clean</g> image. “Our objective is to revive tourism of Delhi and boost other tourism organisations in the city. We are looking for someone who can revive <g data-gr-id="22">economy</g> and generate employment in this sector,” Kapil Mishra, newly appointed Tourism Minister, said.
“Earlier, political leaders were given this post but we are looking for <g data-gr-id="21">corporate</g> head who can aggressively work in improving tourism in Delhi. We are looking for someone who has proved himself in <g data-gr-id="20">corporate</g> sector and is willing to work with us in changing the city.
“There are many businessmen who have earned <g data-gr-id="19">money</g> but we will be looking forward to the development of the city,” he said. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is also exploring new tourism opportunities to attract more visitors so that more funds could be generated and the department is studying new tourism opportunities in the city.
Earlier, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that tourism is one of the top priorities of his government and had promised to develop Delhi as <g data-gr-id="16">tourism</g> hub.
