North MCD fines its headquarter for mosquito breeding

In a move to reduce the risk of dengue and malaria in the city, North MCD has challaned important places like Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash (LNJP) hospital, schools and government offices which were found to have breeding ground for mosquitoes. Interestingly, the corporation have also issued challan to Civic Centre, its headquarters.

A list of VIP challans issued by the NDMC also included MTNL office, private schools, PWD office and the Delhi Transport Corporation. The NDMC till now has fined 45 of these institutions where conditions were found to be positive for breeding of mosquitoes. 

LNJP hospital has been sent notices as mosquitoes were found to be breeding in its premises. Mosquitoes were also found breeding in the D block of the Civic Centre, official statement said.
