North DMC gets serious on de-silting drains

Expressing his deep concern over low performance in de-silting of drains as part of monsoon preparation, North DMC commissioner P K Gupta has ordered deputy commissioners to be present at the site in the first half of the day to supervise the work personally.

In the review meeting of sanitation and de-silting of drains before the onset of monsoon, the commissioner pulled up his subordinates for under-performing their duties. As per the report presented by the deputy commissioners,only 40-50 per cent of work has been done in most of the areas.
