None injured in 3 fire incidents, firefighters battle flames for hours

Three incidents of fire were reported from various parts of the city, including a major one that broke out in a furniture <g data-gr-id="38">godown</g> in Kapashera area of the South West Delhi, but there were no casualties, fire officials said on Thursday.
An incident of fire was reported at a furniture <g data-gr-id="31">godown</g> in Kapashera area of South West Delhi at around 1.30 pm. More than 22 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames, an official of the fire department said.
According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials, <g data-gr-id="24">fire fighters</g> battled for almost two and half hours to bring the blaze under control.
“The control room at Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a call at around 1.34 pm after which 22 fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is not yet known,” a DFS official said. Apart from this, two other incidents of fire were also reported from different parts of the national Capital on Thursday.
The second incident was reported from a vegetable market at Keshopur in West Delhi at 10.40 am, where a fire broke out in a vehicle carrying vegetables. “Fifteen fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire which was finally brought under control at 11.20 am,” the officials said.
In another incident, fire broke out due to short circuit at a footwear showroom on the first floor of a building in Nangloi area of west Delhi, where 22 fire tenders were rushed to bring it under control.
“The fire was caused due to an electrical short-circuit in an air-cooler and brought under control at around 1.50 PM,” they said.
No casualties were reported from anywhere, they added.
