Nomination process complete for JNUSU, DUSU polls

The nomination process for the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union (JNUSU) elections ended after the two-level scrutiny.

According to the DS Rawat chief returning officer and Satish Kumar returning officer of DUSU elections: ‘Forty four students have filed the nominations for the post of president, 34 have filed for the vice-presidents post, 50 for the post of secretary and 34 for the post of joint secretary.’

Gyan Parkash, chairperson of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) said: ‘We have finalised the name of the candidates. We have finalised 22 candidates for the four posts.’ Polls for both DUSU and JNUSU will be held on 13 September.
