The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will soon have a parallel road to decongest traffic. The parallel road would come up as an extension of the Link Road between Sector 44 and Sector 82 and will connect Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. Thousands of office goers from nearly two dozen sectors on this stretch face heavy traffic each day.
The Noida Authority is thinking over adding two more lanes to the six-lane expressway that is used by lakhs of commuters every day. It has planned to spend Rs 400 crore for the entire project. The length of the parallel road would be 24 kilometer and will be on the left side of the existing expressway while coming from Noida to Greater Noida.
According to an authority official, the survey has been done by the officials and once the project gets a go-ahead signal in the next board meeting scheduled on 12 February, the detailed project report would be prepared.
