Noida college teacher held for allegedly molesting girls in hostel

A teacher, working with a government polytechnic college in Noida was arrested by local police on Wednesday for allegedly harassing girls living in the college hostel.
Police said the accused, who was temporarily posted as warden of the hostel was arrested after written complaint and protest at college premises by the girl students. The accused have been sent to judicial custody.
According to police, the matter was reported early morning when hundreds of students of National Women Vyavasayik Training Institute in Sector 1, held protest at college campus against teacher-cum-warden Binod Kharat. The girls complained the teacher indulged in obscenity with scores of girls and even molested some of them. They also claimed the college administration did not take any action against the accused despite repeated complaints to principal Upma Bhatia.
The principal, however said the college was unaware of any such act by the accused.
