Noida Authority to bring in Citizen’s Charter for greater transparency

With an aim to bring greater transparency into the system, Noida Authority is going to implement Citizen’s Charter in the month of February. The move comes after it had received a number of complaints regarding delays in solving civic issues.

Akhilesh Singh, DCEO, Noida Authority said that with the implementation of Citizen’s Charter, officials will be bound to complete official work within a particular time frame. He informed Millennium Post that the Authority has formed a team of officials and has appointed a nodal officer for preparing a fool-proof plan.

Officials said all the departments would be asked to make their services available online and in case officials fail in completing the work within a stipulated time period, they would be punished. As per the charter, no official in any department of the authority will be allowed to keep a file in pending for more than seven working days. The Citizen’s Charter will be displayed outside every department of the Noida Authority.
