Noida Authority plans series of initiatives to clean city

The officials informed they have started the tendering process and an announcement to this effect is likely to be made soon.
As per the plan, the authority has been working on four major projects to ensure proper cleanliness of the city. The first project will focus on door-to-door garbage collection by hiring private body. The proposal for the same has been approved by IIT Delhi. Authority officials said auto tippers and other vehicles will be used to pick garbage from every household. The door-to-door garbage collection model in the national Capital is also being studied’, he added.
The second project will be related to mechanical sweeping under which modern vehicles of sweeping roads will be purchased. They authority have also identified six key roads including Noida-Greater Noida expressway for the same.
The third project includes cleaning of drains by installing hydraulic machines at various drains. Once it is done, the solid garbage will be discarded through the machines automatically, the officer said. Apart from this, authority has also identified more than 300 spots where green as well as yellow dustbins will be kept.
