No substitute for hard work, NTPC honcho tells GenNext

NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Dr Arup Roy Choudhury has said that 'interacting with the youth provides a feeling of energy and strength'.

Addressing the commencement function of the 26th batch of 415 new students for the 2013-15 session at BIMTECH, the energy sector wizard observed that with technology changing at a tremendous pace, one needs to learn every day to stay ahead.

'As a result, there is no substitute for hard work. Without it, one cannot achieve anything in life,' pointed out Roy Choudhury. He added that to be successful, an individual should be humble and have a spirit of acknowledging bright ideas. Referring to the country's present economic scenario, he said that there is no such thing as 'hard times'.

'It is only we who make times hard or easy,' opined the NTPC chairman and managing director.  Roy Choudhury emphasised that any person can achieve anything he wants if he has clean, honest and clear intentions. BIMTECH Director Dr H Chaturvedi, Deputy Director Dr Anupam Varma, Registrar Prof K C Arora and Chief Mentor Dr Ishwar Dayal were present on the occasion.
