‘No shortage of commodities in Trilokpuri’

The government, on Tuesday claimed that there is no shortage of essential commodities such as medicines and groceries in the riot-effected Trilokpuri area. SS Yadav, Delhi’s food supply commissioner said ‘even the prices of commodities such as pulses and vegetables are stable as compared to other parts of city’.

He further said the government is keeping a close vigil in coordination with Mother Dairy and Safal outlets in the area, to ensure availability of essential commodities.

‘Safal has opened additional stalls in various pockets of the area to make available onions, potatoes and fresh vegetables. Mobile vegetable vans have also been posted in the area’, Yadav informed. The consumer affairs department has also taken initiatives to provide essential commodities such as flour, rice, pulses, sugar and salt in Trilokpuri.
