No official confirmation yet: MEA

India on Wednesday said it is yet to get an official confirmation about the detention of Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar in connection with the Pathankot terror attacks. MEA spokesman Vikas Swarup told reporters that there is still no official confirmation on the reported detention of Jaish chief. The MEA spokesperson was briefing reporters after foreign secretary S Jaishankar met foreign minister Sushma Swaraj.

Meanwhile, India will take a call on going ahead with the foreign secretary-level talks with Pakistan after a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. “The decision (on FS talks) will be taken after the meeting,” Vikas Swarup said.
