In a significant development, chief of Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) MK Meena has issued a circular to all his subordinates not to register an FIR without his permission. The move is being seen as a measure to make himself immune from any effort of the Delhi government to lodge an FIR against him in an embezzlement of Rs 20-lakh case. “Why is he so worried, if he was not involved in corruption? Such orders indicate his feeling of insecurity,” said a government spokesperson. According to sources, Meena had issued the circular on Thursday when CM Arvind Kejriwal ordered the Directorate of Vigilance, the administrative department of ACB, to take action on a complaint of embezzlement of Rs 20 lakh against ACB chief.
