In an exclusive interview with Millennium Post, the former PSO of Bharadwaj, who is likely to be questioned by Delhi police, shared the things that he had noticed in the almost 23 years that he served Bharadwaj. He claims that the murder mystery is not yet solved as Nitesh is not the murderer of Bharadwaj.
Mohammad Ali Khan, 46, a PSO-gunner-driver, got his first job under Bharadwaj in 1990 and since then stayed with him round-the-clock for more than two decades. Khan said, ‘Mahant Pratibhanand met Bharadwaj at the farmhouse in 2011 regarding some disputed property deals. He visited around four times. But after that he was banned from entering the farmhouse. He used to come all alone in his car.’
Khan claimed that the murder mystery of the real estate tycoon Bharadwaj is not yet solved. ‘Despite the fact that Nitesh has been arrested and he has confided his crime, I don’t believe it is solved. I know Nitesh for long. He cannot be involved in the crime. Nitesh is trying to save someone close to him. Most probably the key conspirator is Ramesh Kumari (Bharadwaj’s wife). She was very greedy for property,’ Khan added.
When Millennium Post asked about Kumari’s behaviour at home, Khan said, ‘Kumari used to beat and harass Sonia, the first wife of Hitesh (elder son). Sonia is the granddaughter of Hari Krihsan Lal Bhagat, former Union minister. At present she and Hitesh’s daughter are living with her parents. The reason behind the divorce was the harassment and assault she had to face at her in-laws home.’
Khan also added, ‘It is true that Bharadwaj was strict and was very particular about rules and regulations. He wanted his two sons to be like him. Quite often, Bharadwaj used to scold Hitesh and Nitesh in front of their respective families over their addiction to alcohol especially when they used to return to the farmhouse quite inebriated. That is why the two had decided to live separately.’
Kumari’s brother, Anil, is known as the ‘king’ of Shahbad village in Haryana. It is the same village from where Rakesh (Skoda’s owner) hails from. Khan also confirmed that Kumari wanted to handover her property to Nitesh.
Till 2008, before Nitesh returned from America, the farmhouse was known as Hitesh Farm and some part of the farmhouse was named—Deepak Nursery. But when Nitesh returned, the name was changed to Nitesh Kunj.
‘Bharadwaj use to shower maximum love and care on Nitesh. And as far as I know, both do not have any grudge against each other,’ the PSO said.
