Nigerian national stabbed by friend in South Delhi

On the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, a Nigerian national was stabbed to death by his friend, who also hails from Nigeria, over a petty issue in South Delhi’s Neb Sarai area. The alleged accused also received critical injuries. According to police, the incident took place around 1.30 am, when the duo had a heated argument at their friend’s residence in Neb Sarai where they had gone to attend a birthday bash. While returning from the party, the argument turned violent and they both attempted to stab each other.
In the wake of the event, the locals made a call to the police control room and informed that the two Nigerians were lying on the road in a pool of blood. Immediately, a team reached the spot and rushed them to the AIIMS Trauma center. Another team collected evidences from the site with the help of forensic experts. When the duo was taken to the hospital, one of them, who was identified as Usokho, was declared dead on arrival. The other person, identified as Kalvein, is undergoing treatment. Usokho received two stabbing injuries on his abdomen which is stated to be the cause of his death. He was a resident of Jwahar Park in Delhi and had a business of ready-made garments. Delhi police has also informed Nigerian Embassy about the incident. So far the statement of the injured person has not been recorded as his condition is stated to be critical. A case under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Neb Sarai police station and the weapon used in the crime scene is also under custody.
