India TV news anchor Tanu Sharma tried to commit suicide on Sunday, reportedly, blaming her seniors for pushing her to it. Before the suicide attempt, she wrote a note on social networking site Facebook saying that she has written names of her seniors and blamed them for mental harassment, conspiracy and betrayal. Tanu Sharma has been admitted to Kailash Hospital in Noida. Meanwhile, her condition is said to be stable.
While talking to Millennium Post over phone, Kailash Hospital PRO VB Joshi said: ‘She was brought here on Sunday morning. She consumed poison and her condition is said to be stable now. She will be kept under observation as the next 24 hours will be crucial for her.’
According to the sources, Tanu Sharma took some kind of poison or drug while she was in the office. People did not take her Facebook suicide note seriously until she started vomiting blood. She was taken to Kailash hospital immediately after security guards informed management. She started her career in January 2002. She had worked with four news channels (Jain, Sahara, Zee and P7) before joining India TV channel.
